Definition:
The responsibility of the Engineering Operations Manager is heavily hands-on with some administrative responsibilities. This person is responsible for Engineering results, leading by example with the Engineering department to encourage them to improve service and productivity and hold them accountable. The Operations Manager must show consistency among principles, values and behavior, by building strong relationships with Engineering department and the rest of the associates and managers of the Resort.
General Duties:
Employment standards:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with hotel or resort Engineering, Maintenance, and Management
- Proven ability managing and leading teams of 10 or more
- Strong management and leadership qualities with ability to lead teams on full-scale projects, resort-wide
- Minimum five years experience in Engineering management
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must have normal vision or corrective lenses.
- Must have neat and clean overall appearance.
- Must be able to walk and sit as a daily routine.
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs as a daily routine.
- Must be able to communicate and disseminate information accurately, either written or verbally, with the general public or associates.
- Must be able to comprehend reading materials.
- Ability to work alone without supervision
- High School Certificate with emphasis in Technical Trades.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
