Director of Sales

Homewood Suites Lackland is seeking a driven and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead and execute sales strategies that drive revenue and elevate the property’s market position. This role involves managing the sales team, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering strong client relationships to achieve business goals. • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue across all market segments.
• Lead, train, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and collective performance goals.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key accounts, business partners, and community organizations to generate leads and build brand presence.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning to inform sales initiatives.
• Oversee group, corporate, and transient sales efforts, ensuring rate and inventory strategies align with revenue management goals.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that drive business growth and brand awareness.
• Represent the property at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions to attract new business.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, brand standards, and sales best practices.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.

Education/Formal Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing market share.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and inspire team members.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with an in-depth understanding of the sales process.
• Advanced knowledge of sales strategies for group, corporate, and transient markets.
• Proficiency in sales management software, property management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and sales performance.

• Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as needed to meet business demands.
