The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler is looking for a Director of Outlets shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. 

  

About the role 

The Director or Outlets role oversees daily food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, guest satisfaction, and high-quality standards. It involves team leadership, financial management, and collaboration across departments to drive performance, enhance guest experiences, and support overall business success. 

  

What you will do 

  • Above all else provide quality food and beverage product that ensures guest satisfaction and are in line with Four Seasons standards. 

  • Participate in the development of the team through personalized monitoring of each member of his or her team and by proposing training actions to improve individual performance.  

  • Responsible of overall operations of the outlets, IRD and banquets and be able to cover as and when required. 

  • Work closely with the Director of F&B as well as the Executive Chef to design effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality.    

  • The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships. 

  • Communicate with all Departments of the hotel on business fluctuations and developments, special guests, and groups. 

  • Maintain, create, and implement a budget based on forecast, demand, occupancy and historical data in order to achieve year over year gain. 

  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.    

  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the outlets and hotel. 

  • Strategic planning and execution of short-and long-range capital expenditures to enhance guest and employee experience. 

  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlets and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.  

  • Maintain strict sanitation guidelines consistent with Provincial, Local and Four Seasons requirements.  

  • Work efficiently while maintaining a harmonious relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.

What you bring 

  • Viable candidates must have a minimum of three years of management experience in a high volume, luxury environment.  Department Head experience is required. 

  • Skilled in active listening and providing constructive feedback to support team development 

  • Experience managing a seasonal employee team. 

  • Leadership experience in multiple areas within the division 

  • Strong experience in budgeting, financials as well as labor control and productivity 

  • Proficiency in POS & OpenTable system 

 

What we offer:  

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

Schedule & Hours: 

As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Director of Outlets to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
