Honoring local heritage and artfully reimagined for modern-day elegance, the resort includes residents-only facilities and amenities, a luxury spa and state-of-the-art well-being/fitness center, exquisite and diverse fine dining outlets, outdoor pursuits to include a tennis center, and an 18-hole golf course, bowling and movie theater experiences, and an exclusive private club. About the role:

This position will report to the Club General Manager and oversee the various aquatic activities on the property. As the leader of our water activities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs, activities, and events that promote fun and safety for all participants.

What you will do:

  • Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with residents, hotel guests and community visitors.  Provide information which should include, but is not limited to: ocean awareness, ocean ecology, environmental awareness, water safety and any other knowledge about the region, ocean and resort.
  • Develop and implement programs for our residents and guests, contributing to full utilization of our facility assets and perceptive to both innovation and timing opportunities in the industry.
  • Responsible for maximizing revenue potential of the services and programs sold through cost/revenue reporting and development strategies to effectively sell Ocean Activities services.
  • Establish and continually reevaluate the labor standards for all subordinate staff conducive to our objective in both service and financial goals.  Recruit, interview and select a team committed to both our service standards and the strategic business success of our facility.
  • Ensure that Ocean Activities staff has current certifications and consistently adhering to mandatory safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct and manage annual performance reviews for all supervised employees. 
  • Responsible for leading and motivating staff.   Monitor staff attendance and performance with regard to budget, house count, resident population and program needs.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings including informing staff of any company changes, policy updates or revisions. Organize and lead regular staff trainings and safety drills. Maintain all required certifications and ensure staff compliance.
  • Resolve guest complains in a timely manner. Handle incident reports, staff evaluations, and safety audit.

What you will bring:

  • Excellent human relation skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions. 
  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team. 
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be trained and certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification, and physically capable of performing all necessary job duties.
  • Previous experience in Ocean Activities or similar.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft programs to include but not limited to: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.        
  • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
