Location:  Newly Renovated Hilton Garden Inn Buffalo Airport, located at 4201 Genesee St, Cheektowaga, NY 14225

The HGI Buffalo Airport is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage to lead the Food and Beverage team at the property.  This hotel is one of 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Role:

General Summary:

Strategically directs and supervises all aspects of the Food & Beverage departments and outlets within the hotel, with responsibility for meeting budgetary goals and ensuring quality standards across kitchen, dining, bar, banquet operations, and staff.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manages all food and beverage service areas and events; acknowledges, greets, and thanks all guests.
  • Ensures service staff meet Company appearance and uniform standards.
  • Partners with the F&B team to maintain proper par levels and make purchases in line with BLA procedures.
  • Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness across all F&B spaces.
  • Conducts pre-shift, pre-meal, and pre-event meetings.
  • Responsible for overall F&B financial performance, including cost control and profitability.
  • Maintains key F&B records.
  • Implements daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
  • Oversees staff scheduling based on business demands.
  • Leads by example; recruits, trains, coaches, and develops staff.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to meet guest needs.
  • Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Controls food quality, presentation, and costs.
  • Assists in developing and executing training programs.
  • Manages inventories including goods, equipment, and linens.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all departmental positions and fills shifts as needed.
  • Follows all safety, security, and key control procedures.
  • Maintains reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ensures proper food handling, preparation, and storage per regulations.
  • Works with Buffalo Lodging to develop standard procedures and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Salary Range- $72,000-$79,000

Qualifications & Expectations:

A minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage management experience is preferred. Current food handler and alcohol service certifications required. Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of F&B operations.

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, talk, and hear. Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required. Must regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Peripheral vision and depth perception required.
