A leading Central Indiana hotel management company, General Hotels Corporation, is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with a strong attention to detail to become a member of the organization. We are looking for a strong, self-driven accounting professional to handle the accounting functions for the corporate entities. This hands-on position reports directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager and is a hybrid position with 3-4 days in the office per week.
General Duties to include (but not limited to):
- Maintain subledgers and post monthly adjusting journal entries
- Review and analyze monthly income statements for accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
- Complete bank and account reconciliations
- Research and resolve account reconciliation differences
- Compute and prepare monthly customer billing by creating invoices and credit memos and updating internal accounting records
- Process accounts payable, including posting invoices
- Monitor bank accounts, make transfers, and record journal entries as needed
- Assist in preparing annual budgets
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience
- 1-2 years relevant experience preferred
- Sage Intaact Experience a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlines
- Strong ability to multitask to complete critical deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach
