We are excited to announce a full-time opening for a Cook at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in creating and executing menu items that meet the high standards of taste, quality, and presentation that our guests expect. Please note, this position is based on-site at our Oceanfront location and is not a remote job opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to the hotel's recipes, standards, and presentation requirements.
- Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that all food supplies needed for the day are fully stocked and prepared.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations when handling food and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of trash regularly.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Monitor food portioning, layout, and presentation to maintain high standards and uniformity.
- Assist in the planning of menus, including suggesting new, creative recipes and determining appropriate prices.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and a collaborative working environment.
- Adjust dishes based on consumer suggestions or preferences, showcasing flexibility and innovation in culinary skills.
- Manage food inventory, anticipate needs, and communicate with suppliers and management to maintain stock levels and quality.
- Document and maintain clear records of ingredients, expenditures, and practices for compliance and budget management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work shifts from 10am - 7pm.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and maintain a positive team spirit.
- Dependability and flexibility to handle varying workload levels on a day-to-day basis.
- Capability to withstand long hours standing and moving in a busy environment.
- Compliance with all local health regulations, including possession of any necessary certifications or licenses such as a food handler's card.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times.
- Team player mentality with an eagerness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Availability on weekends and holidays. We are 24/7 establishment.
