The Role
As part of the team at one of the longest tenured 5-star Hotels in the world, you enjoy working in an environment committed to excellence. You will enjoy working directly with a variety of event and conference planners, providing expertise for tour groups, elaborate corporate parties and detailed conferences with ease. You thrive in a dynamic environment that requires strong organization, proactivity and well-developed interpersonal skills. Curious about food and beverage trends, able to serve as a consultant for event themes, offsite experiences and audio visual sets, you are the Hotel’s liaison to a core line of business, and adjust to work with multiple high touch groups with ease. You are confident in handling elements of both rooms and event details and can anticipate every element of a group’s pre-arrival, onsite, departure and billing experience.
Conference Services Managers at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston are responsible for selling Hotel services and finalizing multiple aspects of group logistics. The successful candidate will guide the planning process, remain knowledgeable about Hotel operations and external vendor requirements, and will provide relevant information to booked and prospective guests. The Conference Services Manager is responsible for enforcing the terms of the sales agreement, and proactively informs operations departments of event logistics to ensure a seamless onsite guest experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Ideal candidate will have previous Banquets or Catering experience; experience within the Rooms Division is a plus. Candidate must have strong phone and customer service skills as well as knowledge of cloud-based technology. Excellent English communication skills are required; other language skills are a plus. Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment and Internet technology required.
