Job Description

Serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by taking responsibility for the development, implementation, configuration & maintenance of our hotels and their products, following the brand standards and commercial strategy guidelines, across all Minor Core Systems and Distribution Systems. Provide the first level support and training to corporate office and hotels for PMS, CRS Applications, Channel Managers and Distribution channels.

The commercial systems Supervisor will be responsible for the setup, configuration and maintenance of our hotels and products in central systems and distribution channels and act as a gatekeeper of the global commercial strategy and standard operating procedures, ensuring alignment across all platforms.

Activation/De-activation of properties in CRS and Distribution Channels

• Support OPMS installation and activation of new opening properties from the commercial perspective securing brand standards and following the commercial strategy of Minor Hotel Group.
• Assist in configuration of the Opera applications, CRS, Channel Managers and channel extranets and undertake checks for systems match between the different systems and applications.
• Collaborate with Corporate Technology Operations to ensure accurate synchronization between OPMS, MADHIS, and Opera applications.
• Manage the deactivation of properties in CRS and distribution channels as required.

Room & Rate Configuration 

• Assist hotels with the loading of rates across all core systems and applications & distribution channels as part of the centralized rate loading project.
• Ensure all rates comply with brand standards and commercial strategy.
• Ensure Room category and Room type configuration as per brand standards and correct synchronization and alignment across all offline and online channels.
• Assist in coordinating hotel content and descriptions for all properties and performing regular checks for accuracy
• Coordination of room type changes
• Perform test reservations and configuration audits on a regularly.

Being a second support to ensure that daily availability balancing between hotels and MADHIS is undertaken and that corrective steps are taken to bring hotels into balance.

Audit & Control

• Conduct regular proactive audits to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Brand Standards, and Distribution Strategy.
• Perform audits on rate availability and rate accuracy across all channels
• Perform audits on channel configuration to secure a consistent and aligned distribution ​​​​​​​

eCommerce & Distribution Support

• Assist in providing hotels with external market intelligence using tools such as Competitive Intelligence, Global Distribution data, and Rate Shopping.
• Coordinate with hotels and partner agencies to execute eCommerce activities and implement new initiatives supporting marketing strategies.
• Assist in establishing best practices for managing Online Travel Agents (OTAs) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Support hotels &eCommerce teams in better managing and leveraging E-Distribution Channels.

Other

• Test new features/functionality and resolve software and operational issues in MADHIS – Opera Application
• Conduct regular checks to ensure decision upload messages from IDeaS are processed correctly across all applications and channels. (application of price and restrictions upload across all applications and channels).
• Monitor reservation delivery from various distribution channels in the Property Management System (PMS)/Central Reservation System (CRS), ensuring failover control.
• Educate other Minor Corporate Office team members on tasks undertaken in the role, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Produce reports for each channel as required by the Section Head and communicate findings with hotels and regional eCommerce managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, tourism or any related field
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in hospitality is required
• Familiar with Opera systems, SiteMinder and SynXis is a plus
• Knowledge on the different Global Distribution Systems is a plus (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
• Knowledge on the different extranets of the key distribution partners such as e.g. Booking, Expedia, Agoda, … is a plus
• Comfortable with proactively learning new technologies
