Are you an experienced CFO / Financial Manager who would be interested in a position where you travel to Cape Town every second week to be in office, while working remotely for the rest of the month?
 
Our client with their financial services business in Cape Town requires your ability to blend technical financial expertise with your solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – essential, MBA advantageous
  • Track record of supporting business growth, profitability, and investor confidence
  • Experience in a financial services company advantageous
  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity
 
DUTIES
  • Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the firm’s business goals, risk appetite, and regulatory environment
  • Partner with the Director steering day to day functions and growth initiatives
  • Manage the strategic financial leadership of the business
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis across the business
  • Develop scenario analyses and stress testing models to assess the impact of market volatility or credit risks
  • Manage KPI reporting to drive business performance and cost efficiency
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance specific to financial products and services.
  • Ensure efficient transfer pricing and cross-border taxation structures for international operations.
  • Engage in tax planning to optimize effective tax rates within the bounds of regulatory compliance
  • Oversee credit risk, market risk, and operational risk monitoring
  • Oversee statutory and regulatory reporting ensuring compliance with IFRS
  • Optimize cost of funds and oversee credit lines
  • Conduct profitability and cost/income analyses
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins, control costs, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Support business units for better decision-making.
  • Lead the finance, accounts, and regulatory reporting teams
  • Build a high-performing finance function that balances accuracy, agility, and compliance
  • Foster a culture of financial discipline, ethical conduct, and accountability
  • Prepare and present board packs and financial forecasts
 
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
