Carpenter – Hotel Renovations (Immediate Start)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter for an immediate start to support interior renovation work within fully operational hotels in Banff. This is a hands-on, interior-focused role suited to carpenters who take pride in quality workmanship and are comfortable working in guest-facing environments.

Projects are well-organized and professionally managed, with clear sequencing, safety standards, and coordination with hotel operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on interior renovation scopes

  • Install millwork, doors, frames, trim, hardware, and fixtures

  • Support guestroom, corridor, and common-area renovations

  • Read drawings, scopes, and site instructions

  • Coordinate daily work with site leadership and other trades

  • Maintain clean, safe work areas in occupied hotel environments

  • Follow all site safety, noise, and dust-control protocols

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional carpentry experience

  • Strong interior carpentry and finishing skills

  • Renovation experience in hospitality, residential, or commercial settings

  • Comfortable working in live / occupied environments

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional on site

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Hotel or resort renovation experience

  • Experience working in Banff or similar resort communities

  • Red Seal or equivalent trade qualification

  • Own basic hand tools

Work Environment & Logistics

  • Work takes place in fully operational hotels with active guest occupancy

  • On-site accommodation is provided at the hotel for the full duration of the contract

  • Typical schedule is six days per week, approximately 9 hours per day

  • Noisy work begins after 8:30 a.m. to align with hotel guest activity

  • PPE is required at all times; site safety protocols are strictly enforced

  • Projects are structured, schedule-driven, and professionally managed
