Breakfast Attendant - Porches Inn

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to prepare and oversee the complimentary breakfast and any scheduled “functions” on the premises.  Provide customer service in accordance with the hotel’s policies/procedures; to achieve and maintain guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety and security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Greet guests, visitors and staff in a courteous and friendly manner; must be able to initiate and engage in conversation.
• Respond to guests’ needs, special requests and complaints.
• Restock drink, food items and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area and surroundings.
• Clean Breakfast Room; take down displays, clean dishes, vacuum and mop (etc)
• Vacuum and mop: lobby area, hallway and bathrooms
• Dispose of trash and recyclables (down to dumpster)
• Complete “deep” cleaning item for the day (Monday-Friday)
• Receive supplies; date and rotate stock.
• Complete and record inventory (hand into Manager)
• Complete any BEO requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
• Must be able to lift 35-40 pounds
• Friendly demeanor and good customer service skills needed.
• Previous experience in customer-based business preferred.
