Are you a culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves the energy of banquets and events? The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to help lead our banquet kitchen operations and deliver unforgettable event dining experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety—from weddings and corporate events to community gatherings. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can manage prep, presentation, and execution with precision and creativity.

What You'll Do:
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of all banquet food, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and event team on menu planning, portioning, and event logistics
  • Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering based on banquet schedules
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff during banquet prep and service
  • Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
  • Ensure every guest experience reflects professionalism, value, and excellence
  • Assist with scheduling and staff coordination for banquet events

What We’re Looking For:
  • Culinary degree or 4+ years of professional kitchen experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or banquet-focused role
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience in high-volume or event-based food service
  • Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-driven hours
