ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   

  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors in the Hotel’s Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are metContinue to motivate and engage long-tenured employeesFocus on long-range strategic planning for outlet operation and development of the execution plan.   

  • Develop and maintain effective lines of communication with banquet and stewarding employees. The ability to be visible in the operation; assist when needed, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.   

  • Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to the banquet event orders and review any necessary changes with Catering Managers prior to the event taking place.  Connect directly with group contacts once onsite and relay all necessary information to Catering and Conference Services Managers, Banquet team, and Stewarding team to ensure that all details of the function are carried outFacilitate the quality and timeliness of all food items in partnership with the culinary teamProvide our guests with knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience.   

  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.   

  • Understand and drive labor standards in partnership with FinanceControl labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control. Clearly describe the cause of variance and implement change as necessary.   

  • Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the banquet and back-of-house/stewarding areas and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as neededEnsure that follow-up on pending work order tickets is completed in a timely manner so as not to compromise guest experience.   

  • Provide leadership, support, and assist in other areas and outlets throughout the hotel when needed    

   

Desired Qualifications and Skills   

  • College education or equivalent experience   

  • Experience by position is from two to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.   

  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
