Banquet Event Staff (On-Call) - DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center

The DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center is looking for on-call Banquet Event Staff to join the team! Located across the street from the Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, among restaurants and businesses. This position is a hybrid between a banquet server and banquet houseperson. 

Ideal candidate has previous F&B experience and strong communication skills. Seeking someone who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment and provide excellent guest service. 
 

Shift Pattern\: varies but needs to be available for 3pm-11\:30pm shift

What will I be doing?

• Inventories, stores, maintains, orders and delivers the table linens for the hotel banquet and food outlet facilities. 

• Assists the Banquet and Stewarding departments as needed.

   

• Set banquet tables and chairs to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments
• Ensure menu knowledge
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
