Job Description

As a Banquet Captain I, you will support the execution of banquet events by assisting with setup, service coordination, and guest interaction. You will work under the direction of senior captains and management to ensure service standards are upheld and events run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in training and mentoring banquet staff on service procedures and standards.
  • Support inventory management and supply organization for event readiness.
  • Aid in the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces according to event diagrams.
  • Communicate pre-shift details and assignments to service staff.
  • Monitor guest service and assist with food and beverage presentation during events.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Banquet Management.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English with professional verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of banquet or hospitality experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Basic knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and POS systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required work cards or licenses.
