Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury establishment is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction while working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to 5-star standards.
- Ensure all rooms are serviced according to hotel procedures and hygiene standards.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Assist with laundry and linen management as required.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Provide exceptional service with attention to guest comfort and privacy.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in housekeeping in a high-end hotel environment.
- Resides locally in Hout Bay or nearby areas.
- Ability to work flexible hours including day and night shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning duties and handle housekeeping equipment.
- Professional, discreet, and guest-focused demeanour.
