Hostess (Contract) - Hotel Wine Lounge - Stellenbosch

Our client, a luxury hotel in Stellenbosch, is seeking a Seasonal Hostess to join their Wine Lounge team on a fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and an exceptional dining experience.

• Welcome and seat guests in the dining or bar areas.
• Manage reservations and maintain an accurate seating plan.
• Provide menus and introduce guests to their waiter/waitress.
• Greet guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
• Coordinate with wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Keep the hostess desk organized, clean, and professional.
• Offer special assistance to guests when needed (e.g., elderly or families).
• Answer incoming calls and assist with guest enquiries.
• Support the service team when required.

• Grade 12; a hospitality qualification is an advantage.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a hostess in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, friendly, and confident when dealing with guests.
• Well-presented and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Team player with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Comfortable interacting with high-profile clientele.
